Today I spent my first day in one of Compassion's 'projects,' which is the church and school where the sponsored children learn. What an eye opening experience. The children are so sweet and thankful. They are so happy just to have a meal and clothes. I saw three children meet the people who sponsor them. It brought me to tears to see them latch on so quick. This is a big deal to them. They dress in their nicest clothes and some even flew across the country to meet their sponsors. Less than 1% of the kids ever get to. I wish you all could see this. I am taking lots of video and I will post that when I get home and have time to go through it. Please take a moment and check out compassion.com and see if you can be that sponsor for a child in need. This is our chance to do something that has eternal consequences.

I just got to my room here in Bogota, Columbia. I am here because I am an artist rep for Compassion International. I am going to be visiting some of the projects they work on and I will be meeting the child that my wife and I sponsor. I will have a lot more news for you all as the week unfolds. I think this is gonna be a very eye opening week.

Compassion International is a great charity! They are a faith based charity that is finding sponsors for children in poverty situations. The sponsors correspond with their sponsored children and can even visit them! As a matter of fact I am traveling with Compassion to Columbia for 5 days this fall as an ambassador! I am so excited! http://www.compassion.com/ bl
